for people with allergies?
The hulls do not
break down into dust, even after many years! The fabrics we use are 100%cotton
and are pre-washed (to get out fabric sizing, etc.) using non-scented
hypo-allergenic detergents.
Are these pillows like the Sobakawa
pillows seen on TV a while ago?
Yes, they are similar. Ours
are offered in many sizes and shapes for your individual comfort. Pillowcrafters
uses organic hulls, 100% cotton covers, with organic fabric now available.
Do you offer zippers on the inside
cases?
We usually don't put in a
zipper, [as a special request, please add $5.] The zipper is a hard object
under your face- (I have heard from people who have complained about it.) On the other hand, cylinders can have the zipper on the round end and then
the support can be filled tighter. This has worked well for some people.
How long can my buckwheat hull pillow
last?
The favorite pillow in my
home is marked 1977! Many of the outer pillowcases have become worn, but the
hulls inside still have not broken down! As a matter of fact the hulls seem to nestle into
each other, and you may find the pillow becoming more comfortable with age!
Can I wash the inside pillow itself?
I have experimented
with washing the pillow with the hulls. If necessary, it holds up well. Be
sure it's well dried.
How do I keep my pillow long-lasting?
Use the sun. Once or twice a year, on a nice hot, sunny, dry day- "bake" the pillows for a couple of hours on each side!
Is there any noise from the
hulls?
Actually there is a quiet
sound, as your pillow is new, and as you first settle into it. As the hulls
nestle together it is quieter. People have told me it sounds like the ocean!
How can I get my pillow adjusted?
Pillowcrafters will adjust
the amount of hulls in your pillow [bought from us]. This is a free service-

Prices for overseas shipment
are very high, these pillows aren't really light! Smaller supports have been
